cheap acoustic guitars australia image
Hold on to
I really badly need my guitar to be fixed within the next few weeks.
The neck on my acoustic guitar has literally snapped right off, and i need it for a performance soon,
Is there anywhere that would fix it for me in Victoria, Australia for a reasonable, cheap price. Please, please help me! Thaaankkyooou. 10 Pts!
Answer
I don't know about "cheap price" - you don't want cheap, you want good. You probably can't have both.
I would call these folks first and ask for an assessment of the situation, and a price estimate. Not all breaks are even worth fixing. Sounds like you're a student - if you cry poverty they might help you out. Unlike the typical music store these guys have real luthiers who build and repair guitars. A broken neck isn't a repair I'd leave to the typical music store tech.

Help With Acoustic Guitars?
Q. I am thirteen and got an electric guitar for my birthday, i don't know how to play it and the strings cut my fingers D= I would like to find a cheap acoustic guitar (australia) for a beginner, thanks for reading.
Answer
Go for a Taylor or a Martin. Make sure you can get one that works well with nylon strings and has good "action" (any employee will know what you're talking about). Make sure that you get a guitar with a cut-down bridge for the action. Nylon strings won't slice your fingers and will build up your pads (calluses) until you're ready for an acoustic with steel strings - then eventually electric will be easy as hell for you.
