I can't work out what size it is... it looks pretty big? Why do you think it is so cheap?

Answer
Should be fine for a beginner, looks to be a full size, but you can ask the seller a question if you go to his sight again and find out for sure, as to why it's so cheap, who knows. sometimes a dealer will buy a bunch of them at a reduced price from the manufacture and sell them cheap.

Best home music recording microphone for computers?
Chris
Ok, so I'm looking to buy a decent quality microphone so I can just record music straight to my computer. Most importantly, acoustic guitar and singing but maybe a bit of electric stuff too involving amps and that. Trouble is, I know nothing about this stuff. I want one that's reasonably cheap and cost effective if it's possible. Any help greatly greatly appreciated. Also, I live in the UK and if possible no ebay answers.
Answer
great and cheap condenser mic, USB.. needs no audio interface
my choice for low budget but professional recording
Samson C01u - less $100, maybe around $70 or $80
alternative
Rode NT1A - $230
great quality
Shure Beta 87 - $250
Popular pick..
Shure Sm57/58 and 58 beta - $100
if you need to record your electric guitar or mic with 1/4" jack or XLR, I think you need audio interface like digidesign mbox, the cheapest one is mbox mini, maybe around $300, that includes a good software Pro Tools, if you can afford grab it, both hardware and software is great
For me, recording thru the sound card of your pc doesn't do very well.. think well before buying equips..
