Im looking to purchase an acoustic guitar with a pick-up in it. It has to have a warm bright sound and be in good quality. Does anyone know any brands I should look at with a budget of about $400.00-$500.00 max. Links would be helpful too. Thanks

what is a very good preamp for an acoustic guitar?

I have a Dean Exotica electric acoustic guitar. I want to make it sound better. would a good preamp be good or if its just based on the body of the guitar?

You may try to run your guitar through a good PA system or a dedicated acoustic amplifier like Fishman Loudbox (the top end ones being the choice of many pro live acoustic players).

Also, the small Yamaha THR5A amp - sounds really good for the price: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i56OQ8-fXG8 Not sure if you can hook this one up directly to a PA system if you plan on playing live though...

Please be aware that the end result always depends on the quality of the guitar, the pickup system as well as the onboard preamp. In this respect, you shouldn't really expect any miracles.
