so...i aim to learn playing electric guitar but i dont know how to play acoustic guitar,is it okay?or do i need to learn acoustic guitar first?
Answer
You don't have to learn acoustic guitar first.
People often suggest learning acoustic first because acoustic guitars require more hand strength to play, so you develop that hand strength, then playing electric guitar is easy by comparison.
Also if you start with an acoustic, you just need the guitar and don't need to spend money on an amp or cables. Whereas with an electric, you've also got to buy an amp and cables and stuff.

What are the differences in playing electric and acoustic guitars? If I learnt to play the acoustic can I then pick up electric easily or is there much difference?
Answer
You can play exactly the same thing on an electric than you would on an acoustic. That's the short answer.
The difference is that you can do so much more on an electric. You can be more versatile. You can add "crunch" to the sound to play rock, clean up the tone to play jazz, add echo and alot of other effects, depending on what amplifier and effect pedals/processors you get.
Plus, usually the strings on electric guitars are lighter (not as thick as acoustic) making them easier to bend for outstanding cool effect. Bending your strings helps give your music emotion.
Plus, I think electric guitar players get more girls.
