best acoustic guitar easy songs image
Austin
I am starting out with an acoustic guitar and i tried stairway to heaven but found it too hard so any other easy song by led zeppelin on acoustic, thanks
Answer
Thank You is probably the easiest.
Start off the intro by playing around a D chord, descend the bass from D, to C, B, A, then back to D.
(if the sun...) D, C, G, D (2 times) This is also played during the solo.
(kind woman...) Bm, E, Bm, E, A
(little drops of rain...) C, G, D (2 times)
Then play the previous part (Bm E etc) followed by the intro again.

What are some easy alternative songs to learn to play on the acoustic guitar?
Figureskat
I like songs by Death Cab, You me at six, MCR, Paramore, The academy is, All American Rejects, Cute is what we aim for, Good Charlotte, Panic! At the disco, etc., but whatever works is fine. :)
I'd like to be able to play it on an acoustic guitar so keep that in mind. I'm also not very good so somewhat easy songs would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm not much of an alternative fan so I can't answer the first part of your question. However you mentioned that you're not very good and easy songs would be better. When I was starting out people would give me "easy" songs and I'd still find them hard to play. I consider most alt rock songs to be pretty easy to play anyway so what you should do is look up an alt rock song you like and find guitar tabs. If you don't know how to read them it's easy to learn. Then just play them as slowly and perfectly as you can over and over and over for as long as you can stand to practice, the next day try speeding it up just a little bit, by the end of the week you will be able to play the song almost perfect, but not necessarily at full speed. Speed is not at all important when you are learning guitar. What is important is that you don't mess up, if you mess up you will practice the mess ups and it's harder to re-learn a technique or song than it is to play it slowly at first.
