I think its a good idea to take lessons from a real person to make sure you get a solid foundation.
Some basic things you'll want to learn are:
Names of the strings
"Open" Chords
Notes of the frets (at least the first 5 frets)

Learn these things and you'll be well on your way. Have Fun!

What are some good entry level guitar lesson videos?

Q. I am a complete beginner; my acoustic guitar has sat in my room without any playing. If you know of good lesson/ tutorial videos for beginners, please link them below. DFTBA

Answer
Learning to play the guitar should be easy and fun. One of the best ways to learn today is with online lessons. You really can learn how to play the guitar in just 15 minutes a day.

You probably could spend hours and hours of time online searching for "free" guitar lessons. On the other hand, you might just as well check out websites that offer lessons at very reasonable rates (compared to private lessons).

Learn to play acoustic guitar.?

Alice

I play bass, (started a few months ago) and I am also learning to play the keyboard better (I'm okay-ish) But, I have absolutely no Idea about anything concerning other instruments. I really want to learn the acoustic guitar... So, yeah. I can't read guitar tabs, I don't know anything about chords really besides that you play them with your left hand on the keyboard.

So, my question is, does anyone know a FREE website, where I can learn everything from scratch? I mean everything. Notes, Tabs, so on. From beginning to end, where in the end I'd like to be able to play random music sheets and tabs of my own choice. I just... know nothing! Oh, by the way, please don't say something like get a teacher or something. I can't, the town I live in is too small and... You get the picture. Also, don't post 'I don't know'. I'm quite certain you just thought about doing that. I just want serious answers. Thanks.
