Is a D-100B Washburn acoustic guitar small, average, or large size?

Kayla

Found this thing in my boyfriend's basement and thought I'd try to play it. My hands are wicked small though, 6 1/4" from my wrist to tip of middle finger, so I'm having a lot of trouble with certain chords. C, Dm, F. Is this considered to be a normal sized guitar? If it's large, I may look into getting one with a little smaller neck.

Answer
It's a large guitar in terms of the body but the neck is average. Most beginners have trouble forming chords, especially the F chord. Keep trying and you'll get it. Lessons would really help.

what is a good beginner acoustic guitar???PLEASE ANSWER!!!!!?

Im looking for a good beginners acoustic guitar that about $130 or less. it needs to be a guitar that also once i get better i can use and not just one for only beginners. i was looking at the yamaha f335 acoustic but i didnt know if it would be to big for me since im 13yrs 5'1 with small figures!!!
thanks:)

Answer
The Yamaha neck might be a little chunky for your hands. I'd recommend going to a guitar store and test driving the Jasmine by Takamine guitars. Those have really thin necks and low action (strings close to the fretboard), which make them really comfortable for most beginners, females and people with small hands to play. They're also priced great!
