Where can i get acoustic guitar card board box (used or new) in Singapore ?

l

hi, i traveling in Tiger Airways from Singapore to India. I have to carry my acoustic guitar safe. I have heard that it is not allowed to be carried in cabin luggage and i need to checked it in with other luggage.
without knowing all these stuffs i have thrown the guitar box and the stuffings in it.
i already has gig bag, have no idea to buy hard case. So I wonder if i can get the new or used acoustic guitar card bpard box in Singapore ?
- Are there any shop which sell them for cheap price ?
- Will guitar shops at city hall area have any and provide it for free or low cost if anyone go and request ?
- Is there any way to get a acoustic guitar cardboard box with the stuffings inside ?
Please suggest your idea over this,. thanks a lot :)

Answer
Well,

You need to browse around in and around Buggy's village and ask in music equipment shops if they can guide you.

Getting my second guitar.?

i got my first guitar at $120 Singapore dollars, which is about 95 US dollars. And i feel that i should get a better guitar. The action on the guitar I have now is alittle high, although I already adjusted the truss rod. That makes doing barre chords a little difficult.

I'm able to do all open chords and a couple of barre chords now. I considering getting a moderately priced intermediate guitar, around 200SGD or US$160. I have no clue what i should get. I'm considering the EPIPHONE DR-100, or the SWING SM-100. Im trying to to spend so much as well.

which one should i get? and are they any guitars that i should consider

swing sm-100 http://www.svguitars.com/swing-rose-62-n-op-formerly-known-as-sm-100-acoustic-guitar-2013-singapore/

epiphone dr-100 http://www.epiphone.com/Products/Acoustic/DR-100.aspx
swing is a korean brand

Answer
First off, you do not adjust action with the truss rod. That isn't what it's for, and you can really mess up the guitar's playability that way.

Secondly, a guitar tech might be able to make your guitar easier to play. However, from the price, it sounds like replacement is also a good option.

Around here the all-plywood Epiphone DR-100 is often recommended as the cheapest option for people on a tight budget. Anything less is likely to be unplayable or lack durability. However, if you can afford to spend a little more, Yamaha has some very good entry level instruments. The ones with solid spruce tops are very good indeed for their price.

I never heard of Swing - it's probably one of the hundreds of constantly changing labels slapped on low-end instruments from China or Indonesia. Such guitars are usually to be avoided.
