What's the difference between Tabs and Chords?

whenever i search for Acoustic guitar chords, some of the results come up as tabs. whats the difference?

Tabs will generally write out how to play the chord, and chords will generally show the chords to play above or below the lyrics.

I'm assuming 911Tabs or Ultimate-Guitar?

I'm afraid if you're struggling with Hey There Delilah then you may be stuck going back to children's classics to practice until you can work your way up.

It's also possible that you're struggling because you're trying to do the finger picking in Hey There Delilah or you're using more complicated chords than you have to. Feel free to just strum rather than finger pick to simplify songs. Also make sure you have the easiest version of the song (there's always many different keys with easier chords)

Otherwise, old folk songs are well known and usually easy to play.
- One Tin Soldier
- Ghost Riders in the Sky
- How Many Roads

Also, usually songs from early rock and roll are easy as well.
- Ring of Fire
- Shake it Up Baby
- La Bamba (the exact same chord progression as Shake it Up Baby)
