What are some good acoustic guitars for beginners that are under or at least $200?

Like: Fenders, Yamaha, Epiphone, Gibson, ect.

Answer
Yamaha make good entrance level guitars as do Ibanez. Not a big fan of fender acoustics. Another one is Takamine, those are ok also. But I'd choose a yamaha. Best thing to do is go to guitar center or your local guitar/music shop and play some guitars to see what is comfortable and what they sound like. All guitars feel and sound different so that's why it's best to play them before you buy. If you don't know how to play anything ask the salesperson to play a few chords for you, dont be shy either, thats what they're there for. I wouldn't buy a gibson maestro at all so scratch that brand off your list unless you are spending $1000 for one.

What is the best website to learn acoustic guitar for beginners?

Leah

Hi i am learning acoustic guitar by myself online. Does anybody know any really good websites to learn acoustic guitar for beginners? They have to be free. Please if you give me a great website that would be amazing!!!

Answer
The best site bar none is http://justinguitar.com - Justin is an excellent teacher and player, and yes it is free. Still I urge you to donate to the site if you have the chance, it's a great resource.

What ever you do, don't just lean by free and random YouTube videos, there's a lot of really substandard stuff over there.

Also, it goes without saying that a personal guitar teacher, or a great dedicated course is the way to go if you really want to succeed.
