please tell me everything! whats the best type of guitar for a beginner and songs to start playing. do you need to know how to read music?

ok, best type of beginner guitar is an acoustic, you can get it one for 80 bucks. play little kids songs like mary had a little lamb. you can read tabs instead of classical sheet music, which is alot easier. tuning for the strings are EADGBe low to high. buy a tuner as well for 20 dollars. picks are cheap too.

I tried to get a good variety of songs from different genres. I'm a guitar teacher and have taught many kids MANY songs over the years. These are some of the easier ones I can think of. If you want the chords/tabs to ANY of these songs just ask :)
